Kent has been mentoring colleagues who are in training as Linguistics Consultants.  Pray for good mentoring and progress.  Kent has been called upon to solve tone problems with a language "Z".  They are finished with the New Testament, are halfway through the Old Testament and still haven't solved how to write their tone and one of the vowels. Kim has been assigned to help them with literacy once the alphabet is finalized spring 0f 2021.

Bethel University Missionaries in Residence

Mission agencies have become geriatric. Something has happened in our modern church culture and discipleship that has removed the possibility of a call to cross cultural and overseas ministry. We have been placed on the campus of Bethel University to reverse this trend. Along with mentoring and discipling students to Christ and overseas work, we are also working to set up a program for students to be able to graduate with little to no debt and to be “field ready,”  able to be accepted by mission organizations. With 23 years of mission experience in multiple countries, we are excited to see God use that toward equipping and empowering a new generation of disciple makers!

The primary ministry focus of Bruce Tissell is the training and preparation of future pastors, workers and missionaries in North Brazil to serve in Brazil and the world.  Bruce lives in the city of Teresina, Piauí.  He is currently the director of the Baptist Theological Seminary of Teresina and is also involved in helping local churches and encouraging local pastors.

Sarah is working for TeachBeyond Latin America Region remotely
from Oregon. Her focus is supporting programs- both formal Christian schools all over Latin America and informal educational programs, like English institutes, camps, seminaries, etc. She is supporting school directors, team leaders and is on school boards. Ed is an associate helping with projects as they come up.
